William Blair and Kent McDaniel – good friends and colleagues – formed McDaniel & Blair, P.A., in 1994, with a desire to represent a core group of clients without the overhead of the big firms they were leaving. When, in 1997, then-Governor, Kirk Fordice, appointed McDaniel to the bench, Blair partnered with another friend, Si Bondurant, and formed Blair & Bondurant, P.A. In 2002, Troy Farrell Odom joined the law firm, and Eric Lee Patterson joined the law firm in 2007.
In the early years, Blair, Bondurant & Patterson cut its teeth on oil, gas, and other natural resource law. The lawyers honed their skills in the courthouses throughout Mississippi and before the Oil and Gas Board. Among their clients, they established themselves as trusted counsel, zealous advocates, and experienced litigators. Over the years, that expertise evolved into one of the most successful oil and gas practices in Mississippi. Blair, Bondurant & Patterson provides full service legal representation for its energy clients, from title work, to the Oil and Gas Board, to trial and beyond. Blair, Bondurant & Patterson represents some of the most respected and progressive oil and gas clients in the Southeast.
Blair, Bondurant & Patterson did not let its knowledge stop with oil and gas. Through the years, the attorneys became experienced and knowledgeable in a variety of legal areas. The firm actively represents clients in the areas of real estate, family law, business, wills and estates, and commercial litigation.
